Plenty Foods Flaxseed oil is cold pressed from flaxseeds. Flaxseed Oil may also be referred to as Linseed Oil.
This oil contains twice the Omega 3 (60%) as fish oil making it the highest natural source of essential fatty acids. This oil is most commonly used as a nutritious and nutty addition to salads or smoothies. Flaxseed Oil is not suitable for cooking.
Store in the refrigerator for a longer lasting fresh taste. Suitable for storage in the freezer as it will not set hard - it will only be thickened until defrosted.
HOW TO USE
Flaxseed Oil has a nutty taste which makes it great to drizzle over salads or mix with cereals, smoothies and cottage cheese.
We do not recommend the use of flaxseed oil in cooking and baking as heating this oil will cause a bitter flavour and damage its Omega 3 properties.

Although pressing produces heat through friction, the oilseeds are not precooked and consequently the oil is considered cold pressed - in contrast to large scale solvent extraction and refining operations which strip the oil of natural antioxidants, vitamins and flavour.
