An Australian native, Lemon Myrtle has traditionally been used to flavour foods and as a healing oil. Our Organic Lemon Myrtle Loose Leaf Tea boasts significant antioxidant and mineral properties, whilst also being caffeine-free.
Honest to Goodness organic loose leaf teas are a great choice for a tastier cup. The bag-free brewing process gives the leaves more room to move, absorb water and expand, extracting the nutrients, natural flavours and aroma of the tea.
No GMO, no added preservatives, no artificial colours or flavours.
HOW TO USE
How much you use of this tea will depend on how strong you like your tea. As a simple rule, one small teaspoon is enough for one cup of tea. Steep in hot water for 3-5 mins depending on preferred strength. Enjoy as is, with your choice of sweetener (our Honest to Goodness Aussie Manuka Honey or Raw Honey pair exceptionally well).
Alternatively, set aside to cool and serve with ice, and optional lemon slices to dial up the citrus notes and add some fresh vitamin C, for a refreshing summer drink! Another lovely way to enjoy an iced tea is to cut lemon into wedges and freeze those slices in water in an ice cube tray.
Brewed leaves will quickly break down in your home compost or provide food for your worm farm. Just make sure to wait until the leaves are cool before adding.
GROWING & PROCESSING
Our Organic Lemon Myrtle tea comes from the leaves of the native Australian tree Backhousia citriodora, which is indigenous to the coastal, sub-tropical rainforest of Queensland, Australia.
