A super creamy, flavoursome vegan cheese sauce alternative. This sauce pairs wonderfully with pasta, vegetables or even as a dip!

  1. Sautee garlic & onions in a pan over medium heat until fragrant. Add in the chopped carrots, cover with a lid and cook until tender.
  2. In a high-powered blender or food processor, add the cooked carrots, onion & garlic along with the remaining ingredients.
  3. Blend until sauce is completely smooth and creamy. Taste and add more seasoning if necessary.
  4. Enjoy! Store in the fridge for up to a week or freezer for up to a month!

INGREDIENTS

2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup nutritional yeast flakes
1 tsp organic olive oil for cooking
1 cup chopped carrot (1.5 medium carrots)
1 medium yellow onion, diced
1 cup organic raw cashews, soaked overnight and drained
1 tsp Himalayan salt
Pinch of black pepper to taste
Juice of one lemon
1 tsp organic miso paste
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp organic turmeric powder
1/2 tsp organic ground nutmeg
1.5 cups unsweetened plant-based milk (preferably soy/coconut)
